My Jackson...

I shared about Ethan, so I thought it only fair to share something's about his twin brother Jackson. They are only a minute apart but it is amazing how the order of birth does make a difference. Jackson is a true big brother. The boys are in different classes but the classes they are in are buddy classes so they get to do things together. The teachers tell me that they always allow the boys to pick who they want to go library with or buddy up with during project times. They may pick someone else but they always gravitate back together. I cannot even image what they possibly share being twins but it is an amazing thing to watch.

Jackson is a funny guy, he has great timing, we find ourselves laughing at his comments, and he knows when he he has nailed the punch line. I think he gets that from his dad, along with being able to quote tv shows and movies.

He played soccer this year. He really enjoyed playing it, he was one of the fastest runners out there. By the end of the season he was getting the hang of the game and really starting to play it like a pro. I look forward to watching him again this year.

His best friend is his dad and he calls him buddy. It is so wonderful to watch the connection he has with Dave. I tell Dave to enjoy every time he calls him " Buddy" sometimes that can be short lived with children but in my heart I think the time Dave spent with the boys as infants and toddlers has created a bond that will help us down the road in the teen years.

My favorite thing right now is when I tell him he is a good boy and he says back to me " you are a good mom. " So sweet., so funny and smart. My Jackson.

My Ethan..

I had posted yesterday how proud I was of Ethan on Facebook, he attended his 1st day back to school without trainers. Ethan had a successful day yesterday at school with help of his teacher, YEAH!!!!
It has been a learning experience with Ethan, we work so hard to make things so called " Normal" for him, I try hard to allow him to do what his brother can do. Sometimes I think I'm more disappointed than him when it just is not possible for that to happen. Which made me make up my mind that we were going to get this using the potty thing behind us, we had 2 weeks off from school and I just knew he could do it. There is not a lot to tell about it except he has been great at it! He has had a few accidents and I find that I remind him more than he tells me has to go. In fact , he is using the sign for it, you should have seen me telling the family at Christmas, " If Ethan does this sign he has to go potty." They were all excited for him and helped me out while the madness of the Holidays was happening. Then I was reminded by my sister in law Terri about being at Disneyland, Ethan was very sporadic during the summer about using the bathroom but gave me a sign he needed to go. So I rushed him to the one right behind New Orleans square. The whole Templeton family was there, Nana, Papa, Terri, Buzz, Buzzy, Kaylee, Dave, and Jackson waiting for us outside the bathroom. When I came out and said " HE DID IT", there was yelling, high fives, they picked Ethan up like he had won the football game.. it was such a wonderful celebration for him. It was so great that a boy standing close asked me what was going on, I just told him it was a very good day.. It brings tears to my eyes to think of this, it was so special and I will never forget the family swooping him up with such great joy! Makes me thankful that we are NORMAL by all standards of what are family accepts us as..

Blogging? Never thought I would but I have been inspired by my friends that blog and share their wonderful stories. The more I thought about and read through other blogs I realized it is a place to share, be thoughtful,  share thoughts, ideas, struggles, etc. I typically do not have a New Years resolution but thought a lot about this and think this is something I can do. SO... here I go.... I am ready to have some fun!
